A Curious Thing....

Last August for our Anniversary, my boyfriend and I decided to walk around Discovery Park, the biggest park here in Seattle. We were looking to move into the neighborhood right next to it at the time and had been wanting to explore it for quite a while. The weather for our adventure was gorgeous, but the ground was still wet inside the woodsy area and there were leaves starting to coat the ground already.

Out in the meadows, though, the sun was shining bright. We followed the trails (there are so many trails in Discovery Park, we could probably find a new trail every time we visit there!) and after we had walked up a flight of stairs and were walking under branches and branches of white berries, we saw something dash from one side of the trail to another. It was a rabbit! It was a quick glimpse of the little guy, but I was still pretty excited. When we finally found a view point, near an old abandoned community center, we noticed that there were bunnies living under the community center hopping in and out at their leisure, eating the surrounding area of grass.

My dear and I waited on a picnic table, and devoted to catching a picture of these little bunnies, I laid down on the grass, held my arms out and waited to get a picture of two darling baby bunnies. To my luck and surprise, they didn't hop away, but instead they came towards me!

I was absolutely enamored by these bunnies, and it made for the best Anniversary ever!
